Dr Danielle Muscat is a Senior Research Fellow in the Sydney Health Literacy Lab at the University of Sydney. She has been an Advisor on Health Literacy to the World Health Organization since 2019 and International Health Literacy Association Research Standards Committee member since 2021. Dr Muscat won the Institute for Healthcare Advancement’s International Health Literacy Award in 2022 and is in the top 1% of scholars writing about Health Literacy over the past 10 years. Her research focuses on the development and evaluation of interventions to improve health literacy among socially-disadvantaged groups.

 

From the list of specific recommendations, the fellows pulled a list of their top 7 priority actions based on a collective assessment of importance and urgency:

The Health Literacy,Health Education and Health Promotion Congress is an interdisciplinary event for investigators dedicated to health literacy research.  This congress was organized by Health Education and Health Promotion, Department, Mashhad University of Medical Science, Mashhad, Iran. We take great pride in organizing and inviting all the global delegates, to unite once again at the ““1st International Health literacy Congress & 4th International Congress of Health Education and Health” which is scheduled during August 19-20, 2023 as interdisciplinary meeting at Mashhad, Iran. Through its keynote sessions, oral and poster presentations, the symposium will feature cutting-edge research in every subspecialty of health literacy whilst providing the chance to reconnect with peers from around the world. The major goal is to raise awareness about a field of health literacy, a method to raise the patient-provider’s communication, the risks associated with inadequate health literacy, and the its impact on community health, as well as to discover cure options for improving health literacy.
Our objective is to attract distinguished researcher engaged in health literacy research including those involved in a broad array of health services, public health, epidemiology, interventional and translational research activities to discuss the latest innovations, trends, and problems in the field.
We provide an ecosystem that allows research findings to be communicated to the appropriate audience, allowing innovations to move forward for a better society, and we hope to see you at this congress.
